1. Introduction
Cruse SynchronTable System is a Scanner with the easiest operation, for all imaginable types of problems, ranging from 8x10” up to 60 x 90” .

3. Installation 安装说明
Environment conditions for CRUSE Scanner:
Black or dark gray matt painted sealing and walls are the best conditions.
All windows must be closed (no daylight)
Room temperature: between 20 to 25°
CRUSE扫描机的环境要求：
最佳环境为黑色或深灰色的密封空间。门窗紧闭以免阳光入射。
室内温度：20至25°。
The equipment must be connected to a properly grounded three (3) wire outlet. Failure to do so creates a potential danger of electrical shock.
设备必须连接安全接地的三口插座，不当操作可能会引发危险。
The circuit to which this equipment is connected must be current protected by a device with suitable current interruption capability as required by underwriters laboratories, canadian standards association, N.E.M.A. or local code (whichever is the most stringent).
General voltage for all functions 115V(230V). Mains operated is equipped with a shock-prof plug. The electrical equipment at the customer has to be protected by a 16 amp fuse.
Make sure that the power box is switched on (the green indicator lights, powerbox and emergency box, must be on).

Start now by a double click the CSx Scanner Software. The Cruse Color Scanner Logo will be displayed.
双击CSx扫描软件，显示Cruse的彩色图标页面。
4. Warning indications
Only the marked confirmations will be displayed. Please check for correctness.
4.1 Main menu 主菜单
After starting CSx the main menu will be displayed. The main menu allows you all settings and operations and controls the scanner system.
开始运行CSx，出现设置、运行及控制扫描仪系统的主菜单。
Mode : Select wanted mode. Different modes are possible:
模式 选择所需要的模式，具体模式如下：
a) LEFT-RIGHT LR 左右灯
b) LEFT L 左灯
c) RIGHT R 右灯
d) LEFT TEXTURE LTx 单左灯
e) LEFT TEXTURE 2” LTx 2” 单左灯
Light source and lens are automatically selected.
光源及镜头是自动选择的。
Lens :Select lens, when more then one lens are mode specific.
镜头 当特殊模式需要多个镜头时 选择镜头。
f-stop :Select f-stop, if necessary.
如果需要f-stop就选择
Color depth :Select color depth (8 or 16 bit).
颜色深度 选择颜色深度，8bit或者16bit.
Media :For creating and selecting medias, like MATT, GLOSSY etc.
(matt, glossy surface). You have to generate a whitebalance.
介质 选择介质，如粗面、光滑面等。此时须先产生一个白平衡。
Balance Mode :Preselection for whitebalance mode, like Mode-, Media- or
Jobspezific.
平衡模式 预选白平衡模式，如Mode-,Media-或Jobspezific
Balance Correction :Exposure time correction if necessary.
2 = double, 0.5 half exposure time.
平衡校正 如果需要校正曝光时间。
Size of Original :Entering of original size.
Book correction :Height correction of the original.
书籍校正 调整原稿的高度
Scan resolution :Entering of scan resolution. Press TAB and the needed
magnification will be calculated.
扫描分辨率 输入扫描的分辨率。点击TAB，会计算出所需要放大的倍率。
How to make a scan.
A customer brings in an original with dimensions of 50 x 70 cm (roughly 20” x 28”). Based upon the type of original (reflective print or transparency), select the appropriate mode from the pull down “Mode” menu, located on the main menu screen. Depending upon model of scanner and options purchased, several lenses may be appropriate; be sure to select one that gives full coverage of the scan area. The magnification may be adjusted using the “Magnification / Ratio” slider located near the bottom left side of the main menu. Be sure that the correct lens is chosen before adjusting the magnification slider.
客户扫描尺寸为50X70cm（大约20”x28”）的原稿.根据原稿的类型（反射稿或透射稿），在主菜单的“Mode”菜单中选择相应的模式。由于扫描仪的类型及可选件不同，镜头也不同，请选择可以完全覆盖扫描范围的。使用主菜单左下角的“Magnification/Ratio”选项可以调整放大倍率。注意调整倍率前要先关闭镜头。
1. Option:Scan at 300 dpi in 3x16 bit color. 以300dpi 48BIT的分辨率扫描
Using the TAB key, enter the desired scan resolution of 300 dpi; magnification
will be automatically calculated.
用TAB键输入300dpi的分辨率，放大的倍率会自动计算出。
Enter the original size, which will then be displayed by pressing the button marked 
at the top of the preview window.
输入原稿尺寸，点击预览窗口顶端的
按钮可以显示。
Using the ALT+
button (located above the preview window), the scan area is defined, including a slight enlargement to compensate for placement of the original.
To move the head in focus, press the “Move” button at the bottom left of the main menu.
Select a color depth of 48 bits (3x16 bit), then pre-scan or start the high-resolution scan.
按住ALT键加选项，确定扫描范围，要略大于原稿。点击主菜单左下角的“Move”项，移动扫描头进行对焦。选择48bits(3x16bit)的颜色深度，开始预扫或高分辨率扫描。
2. Option: File as large as possible in 3x16 bit color.
Enter the size of the original and calculate required magnification by pressing the
key in the “Size of Original” field. To move the head in focus, press the “Move” button at the bottom left of the main menu.
输入原稿尺寸，点击键可计算中所需要放大的比例。点击主菜单左下角的“Move”项，移动扫描头进行对焦。
Original size can be displayed by pressing the button marked “ORI” at the top of the preview window. Using the ALT+button (located above the preview window), the scan area is defined, including a slight enlargement to compensate for placement of the original.
Select a color depth of 48 bits (3x16 bit), then pre-scan or start the high-resolution scan.
预览窗口顶部的选项显示原稿尺寸。同时按住ALT键及选项，确定扫描范围，要略大于原稿。
选择48bits(3x16bit)的颜色深度，开始预扫或高分辨率扫描。
3. Option: Customer wants a file size of 50 MB用户想扫描一个50M的文件
Input the original size as in all cases above. Original size can be displayed by pressing the button markedat the top of the preview window.
输入原稿尺寸。预览窗口顶部的选项显示原稿尺寸。
Using the Magnification / Ratio slider, 
file size can also be changed; move the slider until the desired file size of 50 MB is displayed. The file size is shown at the bottom right of the main menu, below the preview window.
The positions of the Magnification / Ratio slider and the file size display are shown by the red arrows in the screen grab on the next page.
滑动Magnification / Ratio，可以改变文件尺寸；一直滑动至50MB。预览窗口文件尺寸下方的主菜单右下角将显示文件尺寸。
Magnification / Ratio项的位置及文件的尺寸如下图红色箭头所标识的地方。
Note that choosing 16-bit color depth will create a file that is twice as large as an 8-bit file.
选择16bit的颜色深度产生的文件为8bit颜色深度产生文件的两倍。

The left mouse button opens the pull down menus. The menu Administration and Installation can be protected by an access code.

Manual Focus
The normal user may adjust the focus values. Normally this should not be necessary if the focus calibrations are done precisely. This option is useful if book correction applies and the value cannot be determined exactly.
手动聚焦
用户可以手动调节焦距。焦距准确的情况下不需要调节，只有在焦距值并不准确的时候才需要调节。
By moving the sliders the selected motor will be moved.
The green line displays you the current sharpness. The red line displays the sharpness maximum. By selecting of the buttons MOVE TO the motors moves to the best sharpness position.
通过滑动条可以移动至选择的位置。绿色线显示当前位置。红色线显示最大值。点击“move to”按钮移动至最佳位置。
ATTENTION:
SYNCTABLE ONLY: FOR MANUAL FOCUSING DO NOT MOVE THE LENS, BECAUSE THE MAGNIFICATION WILL CHANGE, AND THE SPEED OF THE SYNCTABLE IS WRONG. FOR MANUAL FOCUSING USE ONLY THE HEAD.

Predefined Sizes
By selecting List an add a new size in Size of Original and Size of Print you can create you own size.
The same you can do by selecting Predefined sizes.
选择列表在添加新尺寸在Size of Original and Size of Print中可创建自己的尺寸。
在选择Predefined sizes时可做同样操作。
所有用户输入的所有的数据（原稿尺寸及输出尺寸，介质等）以日期分类。在需要移动的数据下划一条线，通过点击箭头移动至正确位置。

Display
For setting the Gamma value.设置Gamma值。
SilverFast
It is possible to edit and calibrate you final scan with SilverFast. Select Send completed scans to SilverFast. After the final scan Photoshop and SilverFast HDR will starts automatically with the last scanned image.
编辑及校准silverfast值。选择Send completed scans to SilverFast。扫描完成后，可以将扫描图像链接入photoshop及silverfast HDR软件。
Miscellaneous
The amount of slack for scale recommendation gives you a boarder (4%) for a full format calculated scan and allows you a inaccurate placement of the original.
File
Here you can preselect which resolution you will send with the TIFF-file, scan- or print resolution.
选择tiff文件是scan resolution或print resolution.
Sync light
After finishing the scan the sync light moves back to its park position. If necessary, the sync light stops in the end position by selecting None.
扫描完成后，sync灯移动回起始位置。选择none的话,sync灯的位置停在最终的位置。
Prescan
By start Prescan normally the hole scan area will be scanned. Selection Prescan in selector frame only displays the prescan only in the selected scan area.
开始预扫时，通常情况会全尺寸扫描。当选择Prescan in selector frame only将只预扫选区内的范围。
Controls
When Display average button in preview area is selected, the button 
will be displayed in main frame next to the densitometer. By selection, an adjustable (position and size) frame will be displayed. The densitometer measures the average of the frame.
选择Display average button in preview area选项，按钮将显示主菜单框中。如点击此按钮，会出现一个可以调整位置及大小的选区。

How to do a white balance.
For all modes, the White Balance files are created as empty files at installation.
在所有的模式下，安装的时候就应产生白平衡文件。
The White Balance files can be reviewed by opening the menus Administration – White Balances – Management.
打开Administration – White Balances – Management.来产生白平衡文件。
By opening the window White Balance Management, settings for all modes, lenses, f-stops and medias can be displayed and changed. When the selected white balance is displayed, the mode, lens and f-stop all appear in blue text.
打开White Balance Management窗口，模式、镜头、f-stops及介质的设置都可以显示及修改。显示被选的白平衡时，模式、镜头及f-stop都以蓝色条目显示。
As long as the file size = 0, a white balance for this combination has not yet been generated.
一旦文件尺寸为0，
To create a white balance, first choose the mode and lens and enter an original height of 0.3cm. Verify that the correct lens and f-stop are selected, and then go to the White Balance Management screen.
In the column labeled “Do”, check the box of every white balance you wish to create for the specific lens and f-stop combination.
Begin the white balance by clicking on the “Go!” button in the upper right corner of the menu.
产生一个白平衡，首先选择模式及镜头，输入原稿尺寸0.3cm,检查是否选择了正确的镜头及f-stop,然后进入White Balance Management窗口。
点击 “DO”，开始选择你想要建立的特殊镜头及f-stop的白平衡。
This will open the window below:
Make sure, that the 3 white panels, which comes with the system, is in the center of your copy board (see picture). The plastic cover has to be removed from the middle plate. For DÉCOR Scanner with FRONT and BACK Lights you have to use the matt side. Enter correct Original height from the White panel (0.3cm)
确认系统配置的3块白板处于中心位置。在最中间的位置的白板必须将塑料膜剥离。适用前灯及后灯模式下必须适用亚光面。输入原稿尺寸（0.3cm）
Check the box Unfocused and enter 0.995. The optical system will be defocused 0.5%.
检查未聚焦的盒子，输入0.995.光学系统自动散焦05%。
Only for non speed versions:
It is recommended that the white balance operation be carried out overnight, since this is a time consuming process. Check the box marked “Switch off light when done” and the lighting will be automatically shut off at the end of the white balance session.
建议白平衡运行一晚，检查是否标记完成后自动关灯，以及灯光是否在白平衡最后阶段自动关闭。

White Balance Generation
On this menu you can create the white balances. The white balances gives you for all magnification an even light on the copyboard.
菜单中你可以建立白平衡。
For creating white balances you need the white plate, which comes with the scanner. Select first the mode, lens, enter an original hight of 0.3cm and open the window White Balance Generation.
建立白平衡时需要系统配置的白板，首先选择模式、镜头，输入原稿高度0.3cm,打开White Balance Generation窗口。
Enter the f-stop range (f-Stop from – f-Stop to, the f-stop must be the same, if you have not a motorized f-stop drive) and the magnification range (Scale from – Scale to

For Scale delta you have to enter the steps between the white balances. When you different steps need, select the field And and enter the datas for the next magnification range.
When you want to start the white balances later, select Create as empty Files. All the whitebalances file are created by 0 bytes.
要运行白平衡时，选择Create as empty Files。所有建立的白平衡文件为0bytes.
The generation of white balances takes a lot of hours. It make sense to start it over night. Select Switch off Light when done and the used light will be switched off after generation whitebalances.
Start the generation by selection the button Go!.
产生白平衡需要几小时。选择Switch off Light，白平衡完成后灯会自动关闭。
选择Go!开始运行白平衡。
